Bradley's Dragons

I first had the idea for this book back in 2008. My kids and I were watching some tadpoles, and my oldest son asked me what kind of frog the tadpoles would turn into.

I had no idea.

That set my brain to spinning. Whether we’re talking about tadpoles, caterpillars, or humans, the truth is that we don’t know what our children will turn into.

That thought attracted others, and the initial concept for Bradley’s Dragons was born.

If you’re keeping track, that’s twelve years from concept to publication. A lot happened in those twelve years. The characters evolved from concepts into fully-fleshed out characters, I developed a new kind of dragon, and my writing improved (a lot).

Most of all, though, the story changed. Through countless drafts, edits, and rewrites, it grew in ways both planned and unplanned. What started out as a journey of self-discovery (and self-determination) turned into an exciting mystery adventure.

Bradley’s Dragons is completely different from Dragon Run or The Boy With The Sword. It’s not an epic fantasy. Instead, it’s the story of a modern Florida boy who has no idea of his own potential, or of the dangers inhabiting the world around him.

It’s available for preorder now from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

I really hope you enjoy it!
