My oldest, for example, has latched on to the word &#8220;actually.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Actually, Daddy, this isn&#8217;t the way to the grocery store.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been driving me crazy. Not only is he trying to correct people, but he&#8217;s often wrong when he&#8217;s doing the correcting.<\/p>\n<p>The other day in the car, we had another flare-up.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Actually,&#8221; the big guy said to his brother. &#8220;Scooby doo doesn&#8217;t say <em>Rooby-dooby-doo<\/em>! He actually says <em>Scooby-dooby-doo<\/em>!'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stop,&#8221; his little brother shouted.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What? It&#8217;s true.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stop corrupting me!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Corrupting, correcting, what&#8217;s the difference, really? Besides, I couldn&#8217;t correct him without, uh, correcting him.<\/p>\n<p>[Editor&#8217;s note: For the record, in some versions of Scooby Doo, he says &#8220;Rooby-dooby-doo!&#8221; and in others he says &#8220;Scooby-dooby-doo!&#8221;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is there anything worse than being corrected all the time?
