The other night,as we were waiting for my five-year old to finish in the bathroom, his older brother took my hand.<\/p>\n
“So Dad,” he asked seriously. “Why doesn’t he ever want to go to the bathroom? Why is it always a battle?”<\/p>\n
I looked at him. “What do you mean?” I asked. “It’s never a battle. He goes the bathroom all the time.”<\/p>\n
“Huh,” he said, considering. “But why does he whine so much? It’s not good to whine, is it?”<\/p>\n
“No,” I said. “It’s definitely not good to whine.”<\/p>\n
“Huh,” he said, looking disappointed.<\/p>\n
