If you\u2019re curious about how the police fit in to this, you really should <a href=\"\/?p=665\">click here to read the other tale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we had a lot of fun, but we also had a lot of fights.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, my wife managed to drag herself out to the couch. We propped her foot up with loads of pillows so that it was as elevated as possible, and then sat down to do some regular old-fashioned socializing with Papou (my father-in-law). The kids flitted uncertainly about, not sure exactly where they fit in.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, my youngest turned to momma.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMomma,\u201d he said. \u201cDo you need a nap?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExcuse me?\u201d she said, eyebrows raising.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou look like you\u2019re feeling bad,\u201d he said. \u201cDo you need a nap?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is not very nice,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, no, no!\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s not that I want to play with daddy. I just thought you might need a nap.\u201d He gestured dramatically with his hands. \u201cThat\u2019s all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, he couldn\u2019t quite keep the smile off his face.
