My kids and I were watching some tadpoles, and my oldest son asked me what kind of frog the tadpoles would turn into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had no idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That set my brain to spinning. Whether we&#8217;re talking about tadpoles, caterpillars, or humans, the truth is that we don&#8217;t know what our children will turn into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That thought attracted others, and the initial concept for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bradleysdragons.com\" target=\"_blank\">Bradley&#8217;s Dragons<\/a> was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re keeping track, that&#8217;s twelve years from concept to publication. A lot happened in those twelve years. The characters evolved from concepts into fully-fleshed out characters, I developed a new kind of dragon, and my writing improved (a lot). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of all, though, the story changed. Through countless drafts, edits, and rewrites, it grew in ways both planned and unplanned. What started out as a journey of self-discovery (and self-determination) turned into an exciting mystery adventure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bradley&#8217;s Dragons is completely different from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragon-run.com\">Dragon Run<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theboywiththesword.com\">The Boy With The Sword<\/a>. It&#8217;s not an epic fantasy.
