We have two manger scenes in our house – one for the kids and one that they are not allowed to play with. Their manger scene is kid-friendly plastic. I think it’s made by Fisher-Price. It has little figures for all the characters, including sheep and and an angel. The barn features a little flat spot on top where you can put the angel to look over the holy birth.<\/p>\n

The other day, I noticed my youngest skipping through the house, chuckling to himself.<\/p>\n

“What’s up?” I asked him.<\/p>\n

“That baby’s gonna be scared when he wakes up!” He said with a wide smile.<\/p>\n

“Baby?”<\/p>\n

“Baby Jesus,” he said. He took my hand and pulled me to the manger scene, where he had carefully balanced the sleeping baby Jesus on top of the barn. <\/p>\n

I don’t know what it is about my boys and manger scenes. My oldest had similar issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
