During a break in our chores on Saturday, I played the music video for him.<\/p>\nHe didn’t recognize it until the first chorus, and then his eyes lit up and he had me restart it. He rocked it the second time through, showing off all his “Egyptian” moves. After it finished, he wanted me to play it again. I did, and then I returned cleaning the kitchen. <\/p>\n
A few minutes later, I heard the video re-start. I looked up from the counter (which looks into our den) to see the big guy staring motionless at the screen. I walked over to investigate. <\/p>\n
My wife was busily straightening the den.<\/p>\n
I stepped up behind my son. “No more dancing?”<\/p>\n
He didn’t take his eyes off the screen. “I was – but I wanna watch the girls.”<\/p>\n
I laughed. “Well,” I said, turning back towards the kitchen, “I certainly understand that!”<\/p>\n
“Okay,” my wife said from behind us. “I think that’s enough of that!”<\/p>\n
