The other morning, for no reason that I can think of, I had the song “Mr. Sandman” stuck in my head as I was making the kids breakfast.<\/p>\n
“Mr. Sandman, make me a dream<\/em>,” I sang. “Ah! I gotta get this song out of my head.”<\/p>\n The kids laughed.<\/p>\n “Someone sing something,” I said. “I need something to get it out of my head.”<\/p>\n “I got one, Daddy!” my 6-year old said.<\/p>\n “Okay,”<\/p>\n “Ready?” he asked.<\/p>\n “Yes.”<\/p>\n His older brother and I watched as he stood up, took a deep breath, and sang “Mr. Sandman, make me a dream<\/em>“, then collapsed into laughing.<\/p>\n Sheesh.<\/p>\n …And now I have that stupid song stuck in my head again.
