N, our 3 year old, has been potty trained for quite some time. He is only just now getting to the point, however, where he doesn’t need any help with toilet paper.<\/p>\n
The other day, he shouted “Daddy! Help!” from the bathroom. <\/p>\n
I ran to help, of course. I always treat calls for help seriously – especially when the bathroom is involved.<\/p>\n
He was sitting on the potty when I burst through the door. “What? What is it?”<\/p>\n
“Could you wipe me?” he asked.<\/p>\n
“What?”<\/p>\n
“Could you wipe me!”<\/p>\n
“No!” I was a bit annoyed. ”You do it.”<\/p>\n
“But I don’t want to get my hands dirty!”<\/p>\n
“What? No!”<\/p>\n
He had nothing else to say. All he could do was laugh. I left. It was only later that I realized I should have given my “don’t call for help unless you really need it” speech. <\/p>\n
Oh well. I’m sure he’ll try it again. They always do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
