A few months after C was walking, we took him to Sea World to see the Clydesdales. He took one look at them and said "Cows!" <\/p>\n
J corrected him, "no. Those are horses. Horses." The second time she said ‘horses’, she said it very slowly so he could learn how to pronounce it.<\/p>\n
He wasn’t having anything of it, however. He shook his head. "No. Cows!"<\/p>\n
J shook her head. "No, Horses. Horses"<\/p>\n
"Cows!"<\/p>\n
"Horses!"<\/p>\n
I’ll stop recounting the conversation here. Suffice it to say that it lasted the rest of the Sea World trip, with J getting more and more aggravated and C getting more and more insistent. Every time we’d see the Clydesdales (even in the distance), he’d point and shout "Cows!" It drove J crazy.<\/p>\n
Fast forward to this past vacation. We’re visiting Cherry-Crest Farms, which is a farm filled with fun things to do – wagon rides, corn maze, hay playgrounds, fresh food, and animals. In one section, they have a large wooden contraption that goats are able to climb up. It rises something like 15 feet over the surrounding area and is consequently extremely visible.<\/p>\n
N points at a goat and shouts "Cow!"<\/p>\n

N shakes his head and shouts "Cows!"<\/p>\n
"No, Goats. Goats."<\/p>\n
"Cows!"<\/p>\n
"Goats!"<\/p>\n
