A few weeks back, as we were getting ready for the first practice of this soccer season, I spotted my oldest son walking around with one\u00a0soccer shoe in his hand. He looked both annoyed and somewhat embarrassed.<\/p>\n
“What are you going to do with that?” I asked.<\/p>\n
“I only have this one. I can’t find the other one.”<\/p>\n
“Wait a minute.” I said. “Didn’t this happen last week with your dress shoes? You only had one.”<\/p>\n
“Yeah.” He shrugged. “It’s a thing.”<\/p>\n
“Maybe you could\u00a0make a new pair: one dress shoe and one cleat.”<\/p>\n
