No fighting, right?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Um.&#8221; He hesitated, then glanced at me suspiciously. &#8220;Did she already talk to you?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We, uh. . .&#8221; His shoulders slumped. &#8220;No. It was pretty bad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I chuckled. &#8220;Thanks for telling the truth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I like how he tried to find out what I knew before answering &#8211; and then realized he&#8217;d already blown it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I really hadn&#8217;t intended this to be a trick question.
