It wasn&#8217;t. They were burning.&#8221; He looked really depressed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s okay.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t mean to burn them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t worry about it,&#8221; I said. &#8220;It happens to everybody. . . &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He nodded. &#8220;Thanks, Dad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Else.&#8221; I finished with a grin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Da-addy!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Heh, heh, heh.
