A few weeks back, as we were talking about the differences between friends and girlfriends and wives, my oldest made an announcement: “I’m gonna marry Avery.”<\/p>\n
Avery, in case you’re curious, is a very good friend of his, a girl who moved away a couple years ago. She lives in Texas now.<\/p>\n
“Me too,” his younger brother said.<\/p>\n
“You can’t.” the big guy said. “She can only marry one person. That’s how it works.”<\/p>\n
“Well then,” the little guy paused, his face serious. “I guess it’s a race.”<\/p>\n
My oldest’s eyes widened. “No!”<\/p>\n
“Yep.”<\/p>\n
