“Daddy,” my oldest said last night as he was crawling into bed. “I think Jackie Chan got it wrong. That’s not really El Chupacabra.”<\/p>\n
Earlier, we had watched an episode of Jackie Chan (the cartoon)\u00a0that featured el chupacabra as its bad guy.<\/p>\n
“Really?” I said. “I don’t know that much about it.”<\/p>\n
He nodded seriously. “I’m pretty sure. I mean I’ve seen a lot of things about El Chupacabra, and they all were different than what was in Jackie Chan.”<\/p>\n
“You’ve seen other things about El Chupacabra?” I asked.<\/p>\n
“Yeah, and Jackie Chan got it wrong. It’s more like Big Foot.”<\/p>\n
“Hm,” I said. “Where have you seen El Chupacabra?”<\/p>\n
“Well,” he said. “Scooby Doo.”<\/p>\n
Somehow, I managed to keep a straight face. “Oh, well then. That must be right.”<\/p>\n
